This time a year, I’m always getting in the mood for a light and white outfit. Usually I go with the whites in details or as a part of my outfit, but for this look I felt like going top-till toe in whites. The trick is to add a few contrasts in the details like the belt in the waits and the striped slippers to get a monochrome look blending in with the whites on whites!
I will be wearing my PJ’s all summer weather it is together or separate. I really like the casual and yet still elegant look with small details as the contrast piping on the cuffs. It is ideal to be paired with a shirt, jeans and either sandals or loafers depending on your mood (and weather situation!).
Back in January it was announced that the French actress, Lèa Seydoux, was to be the star of her first Louis Vuitton campaign. The images are shot at architect Luis Barragán’s ultra-colourful, contemporary Cuadra San Cristóbal ranch in Mexico.
The campaign is considered one of Louis Vuitton’s “travel” ads, showing Seydoux with windblown hair embracing the to-die-for handbags. A horse peers out behind her from one of the pink walls making the scenery a perfect match for the collection. Seydoux is wearing clothes from the pre-fall collection, a collection I cannot wait to see up close, when it hits the stores.
The campaign just comes in time for the sunny weather to be heading north, and I truly like how Louis Vuitton and Nicolas Ghesquière keep on adding the most gorgeous girls as their ambassadors, which is also counting the Swedish actress Alicia Vikander!
Hopefully it is soon time to show some skin and what better way than going for a “sleeveless blazer” or a new modern take on the vest like this one from MCQ Alexander McQueen. It can easily work with a pair of jeans and heels for a night out, but also a great way to play with layers by using it over a summer dress or just with a simple t-shirt.

I definitely have a weakness for the cherry print as it reminds me of summer and good times. It is also such a fun and eye-catching print that easily can change a simple double denim look with a jacket and jeans.

There is only two weeks left until the big kick-off of this years Copenhagen Fashion Summit – here on The You Way we will highlight the sustainable conference over the next weeks. This year the conference will be held at one of the most beautiful auditoriums worldwide, The Copenhagen Concert Hall and hosted by model and actress Amber Valletta and fashion journalist and new host of CNN Derek Blasberg.
Mario Testino has chosen to open the doors for his first solo exhibition on the same day to mark his support for the event. He has been a great supporter of CFS since its beginning, so it comes as no surprise that the exhibition will open just in time. The title No limits touches upon Testino’s personal experience of Copenhagen as a city that embodies openness and positive attitude towards life. Testino says “When in Copenhagen, I feel a sense of freedom to be and do as you want.” He continues: “I have been attracted to it since the beginning… I did one of my favourite series for V Magazine there on a very hot summer day, and I was so inspired by the freedom of the people.” In collaboration with Ege Tæpper, a sustainable carpet company, the three floored exhibition will be connected.
A flower printed summer dress is surely not a bad investment, because we will see much more of these florals this season and for fall! It doesn’t need to look to girly or dressed up as long as you keep the accessories simple with a pair of flat sandals or a pair of boots to give it some edge.
New season means new outerwear. The return of the leather coats as seen on the catwalk at Vetements convinced me. This coat can also be worn like a dress if you tie the waist belt tight like I did here to create a feminine definition.
One of the most seen prints this season are the ones with flowers. As it is spring, even though it doesn’t feel like it outside, a touch of flowers can change your mood. I styled them with a one coloured top and pink sandals to match the print.
After returning from LALA land, I’m back in my work uniform aka my jeans and woollen blazer. It’s all about adding some fun and contrast to this very casual look, so a pair of metallic socks, printed pumps and T-shirt plus a pair of eye-catching earrings can easily do the trick.
