Until now her jewellery pieces has only been available in her own store, but during the past seasons the Danish jewellery designer got the attention from international buyers. To celebrate this new beginning, she created a little tribute collection consisting of 4 pieces, which is inspired by an Arabic symbol that she found in the ceiling of her store. A pendant chained necklace, a ring, an earring and this stunner of a chocker with the moon and star, which is gold-plated silver. It is also available in silver and with diamonds, which will hit the store today and will soon be sold online.
We are getting more and more comfortable in the way we dress our selves and for me it’s all about the balance. When you create contrasts a look becomes much more interesting. It’s like a balance – for instance the classic blazer together with the track jacket is something you didn’t think about combining but together it adds a modern twist to the blazer and immediately upgrades the casual sporty jacket. I styled it together with jeans, but it would also work with a pair of woollen suit pants to make it slightly more elegant.
Looking at Céline’s and Ellery’s collections this spring, the flattering combination are the go-to choice this season. Go for a pair in one of the basic colours as navy, black, grey or camel and spice it up with seasonal colours or prints as the sailor stripes. I got even more convinced after seeing them on the runway in a stunning bordeaux at the By Malene Birgers autumn/winter 2016 show – these pants are staying!
I’ve paired an oversized thick striped shirt together with thinner striped pair of pants that blends together in a tonal match. Mixing the stripes makes a look more interesting and fun even if you combine verticals and horizontals – one good tip is though depending on your body shape;
For your lower body go for vertical stripes if you magically want to enhance your legs
For the upper body go horizontal if you have a timeglas body shape to create balance to your look.
I like to invest in basic items like a pair of jeans that I know I will wear until they are falling a part or accessories like bags and shoes, which are easy to use season after season.
I’m also a big fan of layering, which doesn’t need to be heavy at all. For instance today I went for a light layering wearing a thin knitted strop top over a classic stripes shirt – it creates more definition and a feminine contrast to the boyish fit and raw denim details. It is also a slightly warmer way to wear these thin shirts during a cold winter period.
